Board of Directors
Dina Athanassie
President & Founder
Dina has been involved in animal advocacy since 2008. She served on the Board of Directors of a Tampa-based animal advocacy organization, as well as Publisher of the organization's quarterly newsletter. She has conducted numerous presentations on a variety of animal issues to students from kindergarten to universities.
​
She served as the Executive Director of an animal shelter, worked at a low-cost spay/neuter clinic, and has volunteered for wildlife rehabilitators. She has fostered dozens of dogs for local dog rescues and was profiled in The New Barker.
She is currently a "forever foster" to Mozart, a special needs Boston Terrier. She is pictured above with her beloved Reggie (RIP).

Alicia Holloway, CPA
Treasurer
Alicia has over 10 years of experience in tax preparation.
Her areas of concentration include income tax preparation, planning and consulting for individuals, closely-held businesses, and tax-exempt organizations. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and her Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Tampa.
She is a graduate of Tampa Connections Class of 2017.

Alicia is a proud mom to her two-legged and four-legged kids.
Christine Cook
Secretary
Christine is a legal assistant at a law firm and her professional background includes working 30 years in the legal field.
​
She was born at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, DC, grew up on the Gulf Coast of Florida, moved to Southern Maryland, and recently returned to the Nature Coast of Florida in 2022.
​
Christine has volunteered at military hospitals and animal shelters. She has two children, two grandchildren, her furbaby, Athena.
Christine is happy to serve as Secretary on the Board of Sunshine State Humane Society.
