We are so excited that you are here at the beginning and, with your help, you'll watch as we introduce a new type of animal welfare organization in Florida!
Here are a few highlights and updates that we'd love to share with you:
1. Our Vision and Mission: Our mission is to promote the equitable treatment of animals through advocacy, education, rescue, and adoptions. So let's examine that word: equitable. The word "equitable" is important because it represents the concept of fairness, justice, and equality. In the context of our organization, striving for equity is crucial to ensure that all animals have equal access to being represented through education, compassion, and support. We want to create a humane society. A society that is humane. Not just for the cute, furry ones. Not just for the purebreds. Not just for the domestic ones.
2. Location and Facility: At this time, we do not have a facility but our goal is to build one. And we have our eyes set on Pasco County! In the meantime, we're putting the final touches on our foster applications, waivers, and other paperwork.
3. Outreach and Collaboration: We believe in the power of partnerships and collaboration. We are actively reaching out to local communities, organizations, and businesses to foster meaningful connections. By working together, we can create a network of support and amplify our impact on animal welfare in the region.
4. How You Can Help: As we embark on this incredible journey, we would be honored to have your continued support. There are several ways you can contribute:
- Spread the Word: Share our mission and updates with your friends, family, and social networks. Help us raise awareness about the importance of animal welfare and encourage others to join our cause.
- Volunteer: Once our foster system is operational, we will need dedicated volunteers to foster dogs and/or cats. Fosters play an essential role in animal rescue. Stay tuned for volunteer opportunities and how you can get involved.
- Donate: Your financial contributions are vital in supporting the establishment and ongoing operations of our organization. Especially as a new organization, we need the resources to care for the animals we bring in to our organization. Every dollar makes a difference.
